Helped ECO App in developing a dedicated app to capture customer feedback on their eco-friendly products
ECO App is a manufacturer and marketer of eco-friendly products for everyday use. The products, that are aimed at replacing plastic products, are sold through its e-commerce platform. Farmer wanted to have a dedicated app to capture the feedback of its customers, which in turn will be used for improving the existing products as well as aid in new product development.
My role:
- I was involved right from the scratch in building this app. As the UI/UX Designer, I played a key role in creating wireframes, storyboards, sitemaps, user interface and screen flows, in addition to development of prototypes of new products.
- I was majorly involved in content production and user interfaces using Ionic Angular
- Pre-development research focussed on various things including interactive user experience, where users can easily enter the details of their product usage.
- The app is designed for Android and iOS platforms and is highly scalable as many more functions can be integrated as the usage increases.
- The QR code capabilities were integrated into the app allowing the users to scan the product code.
- To make the app more interactive, a lot of tips and quizzes on product usage are integrated into the app.
- Have provided facility to purchase new products from Astu through this app through payment gateway integration
- My interactions with the client included determining their objectives, creating work flows, regular collection of requirements and assigning them to the developers. As the scrum master, regular sprint follow-ups were performed with the team.
- Once the build was ready, I was involved in performing usability tests and live on-field performance tests before delivering the app to the client.
Benefits of the app:
- Manufacturer will get to know more information about the product usage, and customer expectations on product quality, pricing, etc.
- This will help in analysing the product lifespan, provide inputs for production planning, as well as new product development
